We spent Christmas in Velma with Brian's family this year! We had so much fun but for some reason, I didn't take very many pictures :(

I think this picture is pretty funny... Brian has a knife in his hand trying to hold it out of the picture but it looks like I'm about to be in trouble :)

This was Henry's first experience with a candy cane! Needless to say it wasn't his last, for some reason he LOVES them now!

Justine and Dustin came to visit us for a week and we took Henry to the water park for the day- He tried on his swimsuit with floaties for the first time and thought it was so funny!

In other news... my belly is getting bigger each week! We started feeling "him/her" move about 2 weeks ago, but very little, now we can feel it every night! So exciting! We go back to the doctor this Thursday so we will see if they can do an ultrasound and maybe tell us the gender!!

We are so excited to share that we are pregnant with a healthy, very active baby! I will be 12 weeks tomorrow! And our current due date is Feb 8th!!! We will set the gender ultrasound in a few days! So exciting!! Thanks for all your prayers! God is good!

Vacation

Brian had a week off last week so we had a lot of fun things planned! To start the week, he had EPI-LASIK done- His eyes were a little sensitive - He slept in the closet :)

Then we went to San Antonio with Brian's parents and took Henry to Sea World- He loved it!!

He loved watching the shows!

Na Naw and PaPaw bought him a stuffed penguin. He carried it with him everywhere :)

At what point in our lives to we stop making a list? I am a Type A personality. I love making lists and love checking things off my list even more. I have a list that probably looks a lot like most peoples. On it are all the basic steps in life I feel are best for me and our family, steps I have plotted since I was a little girl.

Meet a Godly Man- Check

Fall in Love- Check

Get Married- Check

Have a Baby #1- Check

Have a Baby #2-

Have a Baby #3 (??)-

The more I think about this list the more I realize there is nothing wrong with it- Nothing wrong with desiring these things in life. Nothing wrong with praying for God's blessing, for praying for God's graciousness, for begging night after night for these things to become your life.... The more I think about it, the more I realize.... I am missing the point. God did not call me to make a list in my life of how I think things should go. He did not say pick up your cross (and bring your list) and follow me. He did not promise me He would check things off one by one and make sure all the things I want in life happen for me.

He called us to use His list. To read his list and memorize his desires for our lives. At what point did I begin to think life was all about my list? Why do I forget how important it is to mark things off His list for me? Sometimes it's hard, I don't know what's next on the list- Sometimes, I don't even know what was on the list to begin with. I do know that God has called us to something greater than the things I think are best for my life. Why do we always get so angry when things don't go our way? We blame God for not answering our prayers and not caring about the things that are important to us. Are we so blind that we don't see how sometimes not answering our prayers IS what's best for us? I think about how we prayed every night that this baby would be healthy and this pregnancy would go smoothly. Just when I begin to question why I even pray, I realize that our prayers were answered. Maybe this pregnancy wasn't going smoothly and the baby wasn't healthy- so God answered our prayer. I think not understanding the things God does in our life makes him even more sovereign, not any less painful, but sovereign. It makes me think of when my parents would tell me "No, because I said so". It's the same thing we do with our son, we say no to things we know aren't good for him- Even though he hates it, even though he doesn't understand. We understand, and we do it because we love him.

We believe God has big plans for us. We believe he has more children in our future. I believe God has already revealed to me through this the strength, gentleness and love of my husband. The reassurance that God knit my heart to Brian's long before we ever met. The beauty in my amazing son. The incredible power that comes from loving friends and family.

Right now, we are trying to believe that God's list is way better than ours, and although we don't always know what's next to be marked off, we know if we trust Him, He will reveal it to us, in His perfect time.

God, please continue to reveal to us your power and strength. Please show us your love in ways we never imagined. Please be glorified in our lives, and please hold and adore our little baby in ways we cannot-

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us" Ephesians 3:20

Brians parents came down this weekend for Easter! We had so much fun! We took Henry to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday and there were LOTS of people there! You can see Henry and PawPaw in the middle of this picture (in the black shirt). They tried really hard, but all the kids got to the eggs before him :(

A really nice couple came by and gave Henry some eggs from their basket! We put them on the ground and let him pick them up!

They also had a petting zoo!

Henry got his first "big" hair cut! He has had it trimmed before, but never cut! He looks like such a big boy, which is a good thing because he is going to be a big brother soon!

We are so excited to be having another little baby, and only 5 days after Henry's birthday! I guess we are just meant to have November babies!! :)

Dinner & The Zoo!

Brian came home Friday night after a month in Houston!! Yay!! So good to have him home! We missed him way too much! They had a conference all weekend and a dinner Friday night, so we were able to go out (with the help of the Cromwells who watched Henry for us!)

While Brian was at his conference, Henry and I, and our friends all went to the Waco zoo.

They loved it! What a fun bunch!

Henry decided he wanted to ride with his friend Harper-

I think he has a crush :)

p.s. Henry had his 15 month check-up last week and he is 33lbs and 32 1/2 inches long!

Still the 95% ! Such a big boy! He is talking up a storm- I will try to post video soon!

Sacred Marriage- Week 2

I know many of you have told me you have bought this book and are going through it! But,I will continue to post for those of you who don't have it! I am using words straight out of his book so you are getting an exact summary!

A Prayer To Remember

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2

"Where is the bridge that leads a woman to stop defining a man by what he is and start defining him by what he is not?"

The author of this book attends many seminars and does post and pre-marrital counseling. He finds it amazing that when he asks a woman before she is married to tell him about her future husband she boasts about how wonderful he is and how great he is about so many things. Then, when he asks a woman who has been married for a while the same question, he gets a much different response: he doesn't do this, he never does that, etc....

What changes things is marriage. We pour all our hopes and dreams into a REAL relationship that is not a cartoon. Each day brings new disappointment because we all married sinners. We soon stop seeing what attracted us, and start seeing what disappoints us.

Every day millions of couples wake up and ask themselves "Am I happier today than I was yesterday?" But there is something much greater we should be focused on: "We are called to love our spouses like nobody else ever will. We are called to be the one person so devoted to their overall good that we are committed to be there on their behalf, regardless of any disappointments or faults, so that on the day we die, while our spouse may well remember the bad habits we had, they will also say my husband/wife loved me like I've never been loved and I can't imagine ever being loved like that again. Thats when you know you have true success in your relationships.

So instead of waking up and asking yourself "Am I happier today than yesterday" how about praying "Lord, how can I love my spouse today like he/she has never been or ever will be loved?" This is a prayer God loves to answer! He delights in loving his children and he searches the earth to find people who are willing to fill this quest. Just imagine how your marriage might change if eveyday before your spouse returned from work you prayed "Lord, how can I love them today like they have never been loved?" The answer may be very practical: take over a chore, speak a word of encouragement...

When we focus on what we can do, it's amazing how little time we have left to become consumed by our disappointments.

Henry & his Great Grandpa

When I was in Oklahoma, I took Henry to see his Great Grandpa! Before we got there, we went by my old house where I was born and grew up. We got there and it was gone. We asked some neighbors and they said that it had burnt down a while back. I don't know why, but it was really sad. This is the picture I got. All you can see is the old cellar door covered in snow. That was all that was left. We use to slide down this door when it would ice over :) Its crazy to think about....

Then we went to Grandpa's house and the first thing he did was take Henry into his room to show him where he keeps all his pictures :)

They had so much fun!

My grandma went with us...its crazy but this is actually my mom's mom, and my dad's dad :)

This was really special. Grandpa use to draw smiley faces on our hands every time we were over. He got to draw one for Henry and he loved it!

So its been a while since the last blog. Brian is spending the month in Houston for a review course so have been with our family in OK! It will take me a few blogs to post it all!

We took Henry to the aquarium and he loved it! It was on a week day so we pretty much had the place to ourselves!

A Sacred Marriage

Brian and I took a marriage course last semester taught by our Sunday School teacher (who is also Brian's boss) and his wife. It was amazing! We went through the book "Intimate Encounters" by David and Teresa Ferguson and I strongly suggest everyone read it! It's a wonderful study!! Since the class, we have been going through this new book "Devotions for a Sacred Marriage". It is a really good book and it seems to follow in line with the study we did! It's just one devotion, each week, for a year. I know most of you probably don't have the time to go through a book, so I wanted to share with you each week what its about! These are also great principles for our relationships with people in general, not just our spouse! We just want to share our journey through this book with you-

WEEK ONE:

The God-Centered Spouse

Let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. 2 Corinthians 7:1

This week talks about being a "God -centered spouse" vs. a "spouse- centered spouse". "A spouse- centered spouse acts nicely toward his/her spouse when they act nicely toward them. They will be romantic with each other as long as they are rewarded for doing so. They go out of their way for each other as long as they remain agreeable and affectionate. A God-centered spouse feels motivated by their commitment to God rather than by whatever response a spouse may give. We are called to love our spouses out of "reverence for God". Someone else's sin- even the sin of my spouse against me- never gives me the license to respond with sin."

"In one sense, what my spouse says or does or doesn't do is almost irrelevant. Every decision I make, every work I utter, every thought I think, is to flow out of one holy motivation : reverence for God."

"Everyone married a sinner and we need to love everyday in spite of the decisions made by those around us. Thankfully God has chosen to love us everyday in spite of our poor choices! "

Ask yourself, "Are you a God-centered spouse?" May we love the people God has placed in our lives as much as he loves us :)

Ridin' Dangerously

Henry has been very sick the last week with pneumonia!! :( It was a rough few days to get through but we are so happy that he is finally feeling much better!! Thank you Jesus for healing us!! So we had been locked up in our house for what seemed like forever, so I decided we needed a walk! We take Hen on walks now in his birthday car from NaNaw and PawPaw and he loves it! This time however he decided to drag his feet the whole way. I kept putting them back in the car, but he would get mad and stick them out again. He thinks it so funny to be able to touch the ground :)

The culprit... :)

He ripped a whole completely through his sock and made his food bleed!

He didn't even care, he just kept dragging it until we got home. Crazy boy!

We had a wonderful Christmas in both Oklahoma and Colorado!! It was so great to get to spend time with our families!

This weekend we took Henry to a place called Winter Wonderland in Salado which is about 15 minutes from here. There was a huge billboard on I-35 that had a picture of it so we thought the kids would like it. We pulled up and it was an old house with some animals in a barn about the size of our garage!!! It was pretty funny!! But he didn't care! He had so much fun!!

Ok...so I know this picture is awful, but I had to share what happened! So, this week I had a really bad sore in my mouth. Usually I just let them go away over time. This time my "friend" :) Tam decided I should use silver nitrate to burn it off. You can see where this is going..... So I put it on there for less than a second and the pain was Awful. She told me that I had to leave it on until the pain stopped which meant all the nerves had been burnt off. I put it back on and held it for 3 minutes!!!!! My eyes were watering, my nose was running and I thought I was dying :)

Needless to say, the pain NEVER went away and for 3 days I had a severe chemical burn and a hole in my lip that kept bleeding!!! After talking to 4 doctors, a dentist a nurse and a hygenist, they all concluded that I was crazy and apparently you are only supposed to keep silver nitrate on a wound for 1-2 seconds...not 3 minutes!

Anyway, I am all healed now and wanted to let everyone know that silver nitrate is a bad idea :)

He is walking everywhere now!! Still a little wobbly but so excited!!

This is Henrys new favorite thing to do. He pulls open the drawers and climbs inside! I'm just waiting for the time he does it and I'm not there to hold the drawer up...we might have a crash! :)

We have finally gotten the house all ready for Christmas! Something about Christmas decorations just make the house so much warmer!!

(I know, our tree is sad....when I bought it I thought it was much bigger that this :(

Ever since Henry's birthday party our house has become a small branch of Toys R Us!!

There are toys everywhere! He has so much fun!

In other exciting news....Henry took 4 steps yesterday!!!!

We are so excited! It comes and goes, but he still gets really scared and wants to crawl most of the time. Hopefully he will be walking around soon!

Henrys new favorite thing is to throw his toys out of the bath tub. But yesterday, he decided to jump out after them! He stood up and jumped out head first before I could catch him!!

Needless to say, he has a nice bump on his head! The crazy thing is after I got him calmed down, I put him back in the tub thinking he could play a little more, and the first thing he did was throw his toys out and try to jump out again!! Glad he learned his lesson :)

Today we took Henry to a little pumpkin patch at a local church across from our neighborhood-

So this first picture sums up our last few weeks-

First, Henry had a bad cold that lasted a few weeks. When we thought it was starting to pass, he developed a high fever. We took him in and he had an ear infection. A few days into that, he somehow got the flu (don't ask me how, we didn't leave the house???). Of course, after having the flu for a few days, he gave it to Brian and I. We were SICK! Henrys doctor thought it was the Swine and told us not to bring him to her office and to gave us advice on how to treat it-

Now that we are getting over it, we are thinking it wasn't the Swine, but a different type of flu.

To top it all off, we went to Tulsa last weekend for my cousins wedding (Congrats, we love you!! pics to come...)

while we were sick (Yes I know, and am so sorry we got everyone sick- we just really wanted to see Matthew get married). Anyway, while we were there, Henry spiked another fever and them broke out in huge red hives all over his body! Roseola!! My poor baby!

I am however happy to report that things are finally looking up! Thanks for all the prayers!

While sick, Henry learned how to climp up onto things- first time to do this!

He waits for Daddy to come home :)

He hates this and we had to use it alot!!

He is trying to destroy it!

So....this kinda sums up the week-

A guy selling life insurance came and rang the doorbell after hours of trying to get Henry to sleep!

Of course it woke him up and I had reached my melting point. So I put up this sign-

I later realized it was probably not great to keep up (since Suni brought us dinner that night and didn't know how to let us know she was at the door...:), thank you so much!!) So I will be changing the wording soon so I don't sound so aweful :)

Henry will be 11 months old in just a few days!! Wow time goes by fast!

Things are going great here...Brian spent the weekend in Seattle (he is actually still there, his flight got overbooked twice!!) Hopefully he will be home sometime tomorrow! He went for an Optho conference- Fun Fun! Henry is everywhere!! Its crazy, as soon as they start to crawl they never stop moving! He is so happy to be able to go places now!

Just wanted to share a really good orange chicken dinner with you-

We love Chinese, but don't have any good restaurants in Temple, so I got this box dinner to try.

It is wonderful!! They have a few different kinds but the orange chicken is our favorite!!

All you have to do is cut up chicken breasts and the box has everything else-Super quick and easy and most of all Very Good!

On the topic of food...

Henry has been getting into Rileys food and water bowl so we have had to put it on the counter until he is ready to eat- Now, when we put it down, he gets a lot of it in his mouth and distributes it around the house...I guess he is saving it for later so Henry can't have it- I thought that was pretty funny!

Right now we have 3 piles in different rooms of the house :)

10 Months!

I can't believe how fast time goes!! Henry will be 10 months old on Saturday, only 2 months away from a whole year old!! He had his 9 month check up today (I know, a little late :) He is 25lbs and 31 inches long!! Still in the 95% for everything! She said he looked great! He has had a little cold for a while so he got his first flu shot :( He did really well, hardly cried!

These are just a few pictures from this week...

You can't really see it, but he is covered in crackers from dinner! He was chewing on his lion while I was pouring his bath water to get cleaned up!

It takes me a while to put the laundry up...

Henry always wanted to put my tooth brush in his mouth when he would see me brushing my teeth, so we bought him his own tooth brush! He loves it! Every morning when I brush, I get his out and he likes to brush his teeth too! He has 3 teeth and 2 more are coming through!

I feel like Riley doesn't get quite as much attention anymore-

We still love you too Riley man!

Going Green

Its been a little while since I posted anything on here...sorry! Henry has been sick and Brian has been working like crazy, so we haven't really had a lot of things to take pictures of :)

Henry is starting to feel better (we think he had an upper resp. infection :( Poor baby, it was his first time to be sick and he wasn't very happy about it! He is also cutting his other top tooth, which didn't help things. So while Brian has been so busy, I have been working outside. I went to water some plants a few weeks ago for the Savages, and became inspired to have more flowers around our house! It has taken us a few weeks to just do a few things, but Brian has been so busy, and Henry doesnt like me giving my attention to anything else for too long :)

Anyway, it started with a few plants for our front door...

Brian thought that these few things would tide me over for a while-

Then I got a few things for the back porch. Alot of the plants at Lowes are really cheap right now, which has helped our little project!

Then it moved to the backyard!! It took us a while to dig out all the grass around the house. The ground is so dry around here that it was like digging up rocks!

The plant on the right is an orange tree!! I've always wanted one and they were 50% off last weekend!! It still needs to be planted, but they told me the best time to do it would be in November, when it has cooled off a little.

This was Brian trying to hall off all the dirt we dug up. It took him about 30 min to move the trash can from the backyard to the front! It was pretty heavy! We are actually surprised they took it!

10 year reunion

We went back to Oklahoma for Brians 10 year high school reunion this weekend!!

He is still working on his crawling- He gets up on all four and rocks back and forth and then just falls :( But just a few days ago, he started pulling himself across the floor, dragging his legs- Its kinda funny!

These are the other 3 girls who came this year from OU!!

It has been so nice having them here! Heather and Suni (the ones on either side of me) are both having babies in a few weeks! And Tam, on the end had a little boy who is one!

We had Henrys infant car seat out the other night to pack up for storage, and his buddy Luke decided to get in it- Up untill this point, Henry has had no interest in this seat.....

Now he loves it!

He doesn't know why...but he is now very interested!
He is starting to get a little possessive with his things... :)

So we have had trouble for the last few months with Henry peeing through his diaper and soaking his clothes and bed everynight- We have tried every type of diaper I could find- up one size, up two sizes, night time diapers, pull-ups etc... Finally, I found these at a local grocery store. They are the generic brand for that store and are super big!! They actually work!

I just had to share the picture of how big they are on him! I think they are for teen boys who have trouble wetting the bed :)

Yesterday was my birthday, and after church Brian took me to our favorite Mexican place in Round Rock! It was so good!!!

Our friends, David, Tam and Luke came with us!

Everytime I would tell Henry to look at the camera, he would laugh at me :)

He is so silly!!

Then, Brian picked up dinner and took me, Henry and Riley to a park here in Temple for a picnic- It was so wonderful! When we got home from our dinner, I walked in to the house and our friends were all in the living room and surprised me!

Henry had a tough day playing yesterday-

First, he got the bath toy duckie stuck in his mouth...

But don't worry, he just kept playing like it wasnt there :)

Then, he got a cup stuck on his foot about 2 min after the duckie :)

He likes to pretend to drink out of a cup, so we keep one in his play pen-

Look how big he is getting in his walker- He is getting faster and faster at walking in it!

We are still working on crawling. We try to work with him everyday, but I guess he's just not ready yet :)

Henry has started eating a few things off our plates recently- All soft stuff of course, but it is time to get him started on more solids- This flavor ice however isn't the most nutritious, but he REALLY loves them! Any flavor, he will eat it!

I think it feels good on his teeth :)

In other news, Riley got a hair cut for the summer, and we think he looks like a llama :)

We went to San Antonio for the weekend before Brian starts Optho. and to celebrate Fathers Day. It was our first official family vacation with just the three of us! We had so much fun!!

We stopped at the outlet mall in San Marcos first- It is the largest outlet mall in the nation!

It's very dangerous!!!! Way too many stores :)

As I walked past, his eyes followed mine and I thought it was so realistic that I grabbed Brian to tell him that this was why I didn't like wax museums, because they looked so real- Just as I touched Brian, the guy moved and said "what are you lookin at"?? Scared me to death!!
I realize that in the picture this guy looks real, but in person I had on my sunglasses and we had just left the wax museum :)

We tried out his duck bath tub for the first time a few nights ago and he loved it!! He got it from Aunt Ashley before he was born and he is just now big enough to sit up in it! He LOVES it!

Then we saw more ducks at the zoo today!

We went to the Waco zoo for the first time and he did really well!

Our Biggest Week Ever!

It seems like as soon as Henry turned 7 months old he started doing so many new things, it feels like they all came at once!! First, he cut his first tooth!! After all those months of us thinking he was teething, it finally came through! Then 2 days later, he cut another tooth! So now, he has 2 bottom teeth- I will take pictures as soon as you can see them with a camera!

The next big thing...... Henry said Da Da!! Brian was so excited!! He said it for the first time the night we got to Oklahoma, which was only a few days after he cut his teeth :)

Sooooo Fun!

He has so much fun in a little blow up pool we got him-

We put it in the kitchen at my moms house and he played in it for almost an hour while we were at the movies! (Of course my mom and sister were there :)

The greatest thing of all that happened to Henry this week was that he got to meet his Great Grandpa (who he is named after)

My brother came down to my moms and suprised me by bringing my grandpa! That was the greatest gift ever!! Thanks again Bubba Bean!

Yard Work

We have been trying to work on our front yard for the past few weeks- It's so hard with Brian's schedule and Henry, but it's coming along!

We are so proud of how it is looking so I thought we would share the before and after pictures.

We still have a few more things to plant and finish off, but its looking much better already!

Our baby birds-

I know this sounds crazy, that we were so amazed by birds, but we think its such a great story (even though I'm sure it happens all over the world everyday :)

So this mom and dad bird sat on our ledge for a few weeks, staking out the right place for a nest. Then, the daddy slowly built the nest from sticks and mud on the side of our house. He would do it at night while the mom slept on the ledge. Then when it was finished, the mom laid her eggs and slept in the nest, while the daddy slept on the ledge guarding her. If we went outside while they were there he would get mad and fly down at us and chirp. Now that there are babies, the daddy left and the mommy stays next to them every night.

(I wonder if he has to pay child support, or if he's considered a dead beat dad??)

Anyway, what a sweet story! How can you watch something like that and not believe in God? :)

Henry had his shots and check-up last week. He is 28 1/2 inches long and 21 lbs!

Still in the 95th % for his age :) He is growing like a weed!

Brian is on his last month of wards, and then next month he gets to do research, which will be really laid back!! July starts Optho! I can't believe we have been here for a year and have a baby who is almost 7 months old! Time really has flown by, only 3 years left!

He just started sitting up this last week-

He can't stay that way for long yet, but we are working on it!

I realize he is naked in almost all of his pictures, but it is just so hot down here, and he loves playing in just a diaper! But we do have clothes for him, I promise :)

Brian's brother and his wife graduated from OU this weekend!! We were able to make it up and see them, even though it was a short trip!! We are so proud of you guys and we love and miss you!!

The Baby Bump

Not the kind of baby bump your thinking of...its Henrys foot bump :)

We went to the Dr. last week, and he said the bump has gotten bigger and there are a few options. He is 99% sure that it is a fatty or blood filled cyst, which would be nothing to worry about. This type of cyst sometimes goes away in a few years but other times has to be removed because it can start to hurt when he tries to walk. He said the only way to know is to wait and see- I asked him what the 1% chance was that it is something else, and he said the only way to know for sure is to do an MRI- They would have to put him to sleep for that and because he is so young, there is a chance he could stop breathing- He said its a small chance, but he still had to warn us. So.....we are going to take our chances that it isn't something worse, and pray, pray, pray that everything is ok!!! We just don't think its worth the risk! Hopefully, it will go away with time, and he won't even need to have it removed in the future!

This year is almost over!! Brian takes Step 3 tomorrow and Wed.- The last step he will have to take until he is out of residency!! He only has one month left of wards (May), and then a research month, which will be pretty laid back- Thank goodness!! Then in July, he starts Optho!

Not much else is going on here, just watching Henry grow :) He changes every day- It really is amazing!

So this is the latest, I put him in his crib for a nap, and he moves all over!! Every time I go in, he has an arm or leg stuck between the bars- I tried putting up our bumper, but it doesnt fit in this crib- It's too big, so it falls on him when he tries to sleep- Who knows?? Poor baby!

A Big Week!

First of all, Henry had a cracker for the first time! Its kind of like a baby rice cake and it dissolves as soon as it gets wet, so it was perfect for him! He loved being able to hold it himself!

Then, he tried a sippy cup for the first time! (I was adventurous at Wal-Mart :) He gets really excited when he sees it coming! It's really funny, he hates a bottle, but loved the cup immediately!

I think he likes being able to do things himself!

He also started sitting in his high chair!

He thought he was a big boy!

And best of all, he had his first Easter! Maw Maw came down and brought him his first Easter bunny! He loved it! Thanks for coming to see us Maw Maw!!

5 Months Old!

Henry turned 5 months old on the 5th! I can't believe its going so fast! He is learning to grab things and for some reason, he wants to drink whatever your drinking :) He sees us put the cup up to our mouth and fusses until you give him a drink. So, we have to get a cup of juice and keep it on the table so everytime we get a drink, he can have one too!!

His new favorite thing is to grab his feet and take his socks off- I know most of the pictures are in his chair, but its the only time he is still enough to get a picture! :)

This is what happens when Riley gets a treat- He takes it outside, and hides it in the dirt- he thinks he's tricky but he left a little evidence on his nose :)

So things have been really busy for us lately- Brian has had 8 days off in the last 2 1/2 months, and usually uses those days to catch up on stuff he didn't get done at the hospital. Henry now only takes a few naps during the day, and they usually last about 30 min. or so- All this to say, we havent really had time to mow the lawn in a while. In Oklahoma, this wouldn't be so bad at this point in the year. But, the weather has been so warm that people have been mowing their grass down here for about a month or so...crazy! The picture is of our back yard- This is only one section of weeds, but it must be the tallest and strongest, because the other day I actually saw a bird land on one and start to clean himself!! Amazing- You know your yard is bad when a weed can hold up small animals :)

We tried carrots for the first time tonight! Of course, he loved them- I don't think we have to worry about the whole "liking fruits more than veggies" thing, he pretty much likes anything that will go into his mouth :)

This is Henry walking in the walker! He had always just stood in it until yesterday. I put him in it and turned around and this is what he was doing- I don't know what sparked in him, but he goes everywhere now!

Henry is 4 1/2 months old, so he had to go in for his second set of shots- He did really well, only cried a little! He weighs 18 1/2 lbs and 26 1/2 inches long. He is in the 95th percentile for weight and height! He's a big boy! He even started walking in his walker!! He used to just stand in it, but as of today, he is moving all over the house! I have to keep moving him, because our house isn't that big so he keeps running into things and getting frustrated :)

His first St. Patricks Day!

So, just a few days ago, I went into his room and he had turned over to his belly- He rolled over about a month ago, but had only done it once or twice since then. Now he rolls over every time we lay him on his back, which makes it really hard to change his diaper!!

(Don't mind the outfit, he had on his p.j.'s and got cold in the middle of the night, so it was dark and I just grabbed the first pants I could find...thats why it looks like I'm colorblind:)

The Walker-

Henry has been standing in his walker a few times a day- It is great for when I am cooking in the kitchen, he can play and watch me :) He only inches around, and its all by accident- He just moves his feet untill he runs into a chair or wall :) He is so good with his head control!

Nap Time!

So we have been trying to get Henry to take naps in his bed (instead of ours :) and this is usually what happens- He turns himself so that he can watch his rain forest animals :) It's so funny...he will do anything to keep from taking a nap!!

He's growing up!

We just started feeding him cereal- He didn't like it at first, then we tried mixing it with juice instead of water, and he loves it!! He actually starts fussing if we don't get it in his mouth fast enough :)

He actually ate 4 bowls of cereal tonight (they were small) We had to stop him at 4 even though he was still acting hungry- This is why our baby weighs 18 lbs!!

We are so lucky, he loves his bath time!! He has from the beginning- Sometimes when he is fussy, we can just put him in the tub, and he is fine :) he just starts splashing in the water

He is getting so good at holding his head up!

He even likes to do push-ups :)

This is an outfit that I got for Christmas about a year and a half after we got married- We saw it in a store and I just knew I had to have it for our baby one day! It was the sweetest outfit I had ever seen :)

So, Brian's mom got it for us with the hopes of having a grandchild to put in it :)

This is the first time he has been able to fit in it- Of course its too warm now for him to wear it out, but I had to get a picture of him in it! He is such a little angel and it is so hard to believe that just a few years ago we got this little outfit, and now we have a baby inside of it :)

This is Henry's new play pin from Nan Naw and Paw Paw- It is awesome!! I recommend it to anyone with a baby! It has soft sides and can be moved to any room- He loves to play in it and he can roll over and not worry about rolling off anything or having Riley in his face :)

3 months old

He is learning to sit in his Bumbo seat from Uncle Kyle and Aunt Tiff! He still needs a little help with pillows, but he is doing much better on his own :)

Mikel and Becca came to see us!! They came to visit her family in Texas- It's much warmer down here than in Minnesota!

Henry wore his "Got Milk" shirt from Aunt Justine!! As everyone can see, he definetely gets his milk...I think those might be his first words :)

As soon as we take Henry out of his seat, Riley gets in it- He has to be the baby too!!

Henry is 3 months old today, and has already started teething :( Poor baby! He started drooling all the time about a week ago and now has a hard time eating and a runny nose- I though it was so early for him, but his dad got his first tooth at 2 months!! Crazy! So we are just trying to get him through it with lots of love and origel :)

He is talking all the time now- its so fun! He just keeps getting bigger and bigger :)

Daisy came over this week because her daddy had an interview in San Antonio- We really hope they decide to come to Texas!! Henry can't go very long without holding Daisy's hand!
